Class visits
The MAS has developed tailor-made tours especially for schools. This way, pupils can experience the museum in a guided and interactive manner. Besides guided tours for children and young people, there is also a nice offer for adult education and the MAS can be an ideal extension of teacher training.
Admission to the MAS is free for school groups who book in advance. With a guided tour, you only pay for the guide.

Which ticket do you book?
Below you will find all the types of tickets you can buy (online). Remember to exchange the ticket for a wristband at the museum desk. This is the only valid admission ticket.
Reserve a ticket for a time slot online in advance to avoid being refused due to a full house. A ticket is needed for all the museum rooms in the MAS, except for the Visible Storage (2nd floor), the boulevard and the rooftop panorama. You can visit the museum between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A visit takes 90 minutes on average, but if you want to see everything, it's better to set aside 2 hours.
Even if you are entitled to free admission, you must reserve a ticket.
Temporary exhibition
The 3rd floor of the MAS is reserved for temporary exhibitions. With a ticket 'MAS + temporary expo' you visit the temporary exhibition and gain access to all the other museum halls, the Visible Storage, the boulevard and the rooftop panorama. If there is no temporary exhibition, you cannot book this ticket.
- From 31 January to 31 August 2025: 'COMPASSION'
Permanent collection + Visible storage
The MAS has 5 galleries with a semi-permanent exhibition:
- 4th floor: City at war
- 5th floor: Antwerp à la carte
- 6th floor: Freight
- 7th floor: Anybody home?
- 8th floor: Art from Pre-Columbian America
On the 2nd floor, you'll have access to our Visible storage where varied and surprising partial presentations provide a constantly changing 'Glimpse of the collection'.
With a ticket 'MAS' you can visit the 5 museum halls above, and you get access to the Visible Storage, the boulevard and the rooftop panorama. This ticket doesn't allow you to visit the temporary exhibition.
Boulevard and panorama
The Boulevard is also an exhibition space. In the display cases next to the escalators and on large walls you'll find constantly changing exhibitions. 'The Salon' is on view from 25 October 2024.
You can visit the boulevard and the panorama for free, without a ticket.
