MAS Darling

From 6 to 10 August, the MAS is hosting the third edition of MAS Darling — a multi-day festival featuring talks, workshops, performances and video that highlights and celebrates the history and diversity of the LGBTQI+ community.

MASbox

In the MASbox, you can enjoy our programming in all its diversity: film screenings, concerts, workshops, talks, lectures ... it's all possible. At the same time, it is a place where the MAS team engages in dialogue. With each other, with partners from the city or with heritage communities.

Anybody home?

Looking for the sewer crocodile, listening to talking tableware, playing board games or drawing on the walls.... In the playful new family exhibition "Anybody home?" you will explore the MAS collection together with your (grand) children. You reflect on what a 'home' means. And one thing can already be revealed: it is different for everyone.

The MAS in Young Hands organises super cool activities in the MAS for youngsters aged 16 to 26.

A modern-day warehouse

In this impressive warehouse, all the museum rooms are stacked like boxes. Follow the Boulevard with its metres-high glass windows as it spirals upwards, and enjoy an incredible view of the city from every level.

Cool Japan

The exhibition 'Cool Japan' immersed you in the worldwide fascination for Japanese visual culture with icons such as Hello Kitty, Zelda and Sailor Moon ..

Altar of Antwerp

Since 2012, the Mestizo Arts Platform (MAP) collective has been maintaining and renewing the Altar of Antwerp: a participatory installation that invites us to reflect on the meaning of 'what we have lost' in the city. This has been a part of the MAS' permanent collection since 2017.

Life & Death | Of Gods and mankind

In this exhibition you could find out how others experience and approach the end of life. Across the boundaries of time, culture and religion.

The Salon

CLOSED| In super-diverse Antwerp, you will find hairstyles and hair traditions of all colours and shapes. The hair salons where it all happens are equally diverse. The photo exhibition 'The Salon' gave you a taste of the diversity of hair salons and cuts.
