In the shadow of the MAS, you'll find several publicly accessible pavilions that you can visit. There you will discover more stories about Antwerp today.

A PLAYLIST

This year, we are creating the city's playlist for the Altar of Antwerp. This playlist will consist of songs that city residents bring in. Each song is linked to a moment, a person or a feeling that the participant wants to evoke.

19th century dollhouse

In preparation for the family exhibition Anybody home?, the MAS had a 19th-century wooden dollhouse restored. The house and its furnishings were carefully refurbished.

Objects in the exhibition

Except for a dozen or so loans, all the pieces on display in the exhibition come from the MAS collection. The objects have been chosen for what they portray, their significance or their (historical) story.

Accessibility

MAS strives to be as accessible and inclusive a place as possible. How do we welcome less mobile visitors, people with hearing or visual impairments, or those with autism spectrum disorders?

Teachers can act as a guide and provide a tour for their class at the MAS. Or they can book a guided tour for their class.

A guide takes you on a tour and shows you some historical masterpieces. You'll learn that contemporary icons and the Japanese pop culture come from a long tradition.

A bird’s eye view of Antwerp

Every district of Antwerp consists of a wonderful mix of historical buildings and modern architecture. To see all of this beauty you actually would need wings. But fortunately there are several places, both high up in the air and on the ground, to see as much as possible of the city.
