MAS volunteers dive into the collection

From 25 October 2024, the MAS volunteers are in charge in the Visible Storage. Sixteen of them delved into the museum's depots and each chose an object that particularly touches them personally. Admire their favourite pieces and get to know some of these silent but indispensable forces.

A small sea buoy, a Taoist flower goddess, a beak mask or a porthole... The pieces chosen are as diverse as the tasks the MAS volunteers enthusiastically take on at the museum. Through the surprising collection of museum pieces, you get to know the people who warmly welcome our public, maintain the cranes and vessels, digitise the collection or ensure that the MAS remains a warm place for young people too. And, of course, they also tell you why those pieces touch them. In this way, the Visible Storage gives you another look at the MAS collection.
