Portopolis

In the shadow of the Museum aan de Stroom, you'll find Portopolis. Here, you can discover the port of Antwerp from the heart of the city through an interactive exhibition!

Interactive tour

As a visitor, you receive a tablet that guides you through an interactive tour. By pointing the tablet at the large aerial view, you can learn more about different hotspots in the harbor and bring the harbor to life. For example, you can follow the route of a banana or discover the various nature reserves in the port of Antwerp. If you scan the portrait photo of a port employee, the character comes to life on your screen. With VR glasses you get a 360° tour at various locations in the port.

There are also various activities in Portopolis for the very young. On four separate islands, children can load a container ship themselves, map out a route for their goods or learn to moor a ship.

Do you prefer a personal explanation? No problem, our hosts are happy to answer your questions and are ready with fascinating port stories, spicy anecdotes and startling figures.

In short: An educational and fun outing for young and old!
