‘100 x Congo’ wins the 'International Exhibition of the Year’ award

We are very proud to announce that the exhibition '100 x Congo. A century of Congolese art in Antwerp' has been chosen as 'International exhibition of the year' by the British Museums & Heritage Awards.

Eyecatchers

CLOSED - In the exhibition 'Eyecatchers', 16 Antwerp residents gave their own take on our collection and chose their personal masterpiece. Because a masterpiece is something different for everyone.

A modern-day warehouse

In this impressive warehouse, all the museum rooms are stacked like boxes. Follow the Boulevard with its metres-high glass windows as it spirals upwards, and enjoy an incredible view of the city from every level.

From parade to museum

Thanks to intensive restoration, a large float was prepared for the exhibition 'Listen. Stories found in the city'. You can read about how the restoration of this piece was carried out and what choices were made here.
