A bird’s eye view of Antwerp

Every district of Antwerp consists of a wonderful mix of historical buildings and modern architecture. To see all of this beauty you actually would need wings. But fortunately there are several places, both high up in the air and on the ground, to see as much as possible of the city.

The Antarctic today

The exhibition also tells the story of Antarctica today. You will find out how scientists are still conducting groundbreaking scientific research there. This topical part of the exhibition was created in collaboration with the International Polar Foundation.

City Photographer

CLOSED - The exhibition ‘City Photographer’ brought Antwerp's many faces to the MAS Boulevard from 25 April 2017. Fifteen city photographers, chosen between 2014 and 2017, supplied a diverse range of photos. They created an unprecedented love letter to the city in all its manifestations.

V-bombs in Antwerp, 1944-1945

The MAS focuses on a piece of city history from the Second World War. In the pavilion, you can see where V-bombs fell on Antwerp and the scars they have left behind, by means of photographs, first-person testimonies and maps. You can even see a real V1-bomb from the MAS collection.

Portopolis

At Portopolis you put on a VR visor for a 360° tour and feel the port come to life! Walk across the large aeriel photograph and discover all special hotspots on offer in our port.

MASafari

A treasure hunt in the museum

Children aged 5 to 10, together with their (grand)parents, search for animals in the museum. Along the way, they are given all kinds of assignments.
