Antwerpians and their city

Are you one of those who find Antwerpers a bit ‘full of themselves’? Just why are they so proud of their city? What’s behind their attitude? And what do they think of their city? Is their view consistent with reality? Find out on this guided tour.

Give your pupils a chance to delve into the origins and growth of Antwerp. Get them to consider Antwerp as a multicultural city and make the connection with the situation today.

With the exhibition In Antwerp. 50 Years of Migration from Morocco and Turkey, your pupils will experience how the first generation of Moroccan and Turkish workers settled here. They will also learn how their children and grandchildren are helping shape Antwerp today.
