EDIBLE is Belgium’s first food design festival. Participants discover how food, art, design and culture come together through exhibitions, talks and unexpected experiences. MAS hosts the festival for 2 days.
Be introduced to the rich heritage of the Batak people of North Sumatra - their stories, traditions, symbols and way of life, and how these continue to evolve in today's world. And try your hand at Aksara Bata - their own writing system - during a hands-on cultural workshop.
The MAS collection consists of more than 500,000 objects about art, cultural traditions and history of the city and port of Antwerp. But also of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Oceania.
"Freight" is the story of a port in the long history of globalisation. From the Vikings to today. A story about glorious periods and extraordinary encounters, but also about the downsides of economic growth.

The exhibition “We Are Here” focuses on the lives of LGBTQI+ people. In the room “Chosen Family” we will feature a bookshelf filled with books that have played an important role in their lives. We are looking not only for books with queer stories, but also for books that held personal significance at a particular moment in someone’s life.
