Celebrate five years of the MAS

Three-day festival for 5 euros

The MAS is turning five, and we plan to live it up over Whitsun weekend with a surprising and multi-faceted programme. From 14 to 16 May 2016, the MAS celebrates its fifth anniversary with two new exhibitions, DJs in the square, edible art, workshops for young and old, good food and drink at our food truck festival, and an eccentric firework display to round the whole thing off!

The tile panel 'The Conversion of Saul' is one of the most important pieces of the MAS I Vleeshuis collection, the collection of applied arts and history from the city of Antwerp.

Congo in the MAS

The origin of the Congolese collection in the MAS dates back about a hundred years.

Harbour cranes

The MAS' largest and most impressive collection pieces can be seen on the Scheldt quays. And just in front of the MAS, you almost bump into the showpiece of our collection.

Instinct - A beastly exhibition

CLOSED - The youth crew of the MAS took over a floor of the museum. A unique exhibition revealed the animal side of the museum collection, with creative materials and a wild programme.

In collaboration with Antwerp families

The MAS, together with a number of key partners, collected stories from Antwerper citizens about what a "home" means to them. A dozen families collaborated on the exhibition for a year.
