CLOSED - In the exhibition 'Eyecatchers', 16 Antwerp residents gave their own take on our collection and chose their personal masterpiece. Because a masterpiece is something different for everyone.

A PLAYLIST

This year, we are creating the city's playlist for the Altar of Antwerp. This playlist will consist of songs that city residents bring in. Each song is linked to a moment, a person or a feeling that the participant wants to evoke.

Architect Le Corbusier

Short biography

As well as an architect, Le Corbusier was also a furniture designer, a painter, a sculptor and an influential theorist. He is sometimes called ‘the architect of the 20th century’. His ideas were showered with praise, but he also received a lot of criticism.

MAS acquires LGBTQ+ heritage

The MAS has been able to get hold of a few pieces from gay bar Café Strange at an auction. This way, a bit of the bar of Antwerp's icon and café owner Armand in the Dambruggestraat is preserved for the future.
