This fall, the MAS will be dancing! During four dance nocturnes, Antwerp dance communities ranging from Bollywood dance, tango, pole dancing to dabke and Gregorian dance will provide a program full of workshops, performances, and talks.
Dance brings us together. Every performance, every act, every interaction connects us. This evening is a rhythmic journey through dance forms that revolve around encounter and interaction.
Thursday 6 November 2025 until Friday 7 November 2025 from 19:00 to 1:00
In a world where dance is often viewed through the lens of music videos, films, and social media, this #MASmoves event invites you to look beyond. This evening goes beyond the screen and contemporary pop culture and delves into the origins of various dance forms.
FREE ENTRANCE | The MAS collection numbers almost 600,000 pieces. Part of it can be admired in the exhibitions, the rest is carefully stored in various depots. In the free accessible Visible Storage, you can take a peek behind the scenes. Varied and surprising partial presentations provide a constantly changing view of the collection.
Dance tells stories. It is often a way to depict stories, to mourn, to celebrate, to honor, and to remember. In every culture, on every continent, people use their bodies to express what words cannot convey.
Dance is a powerful tool that makes social themes tangible, exposes emotions, and creates space for change. An evening full of energy, expression, and new perspectives.
