Open
The museum galleries and the Visible Storage are open for visit:
- Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Last access: 4:00 p.m. (After 4:00 p.m. the reception is closed)
- Exceptionally open on Easter Monday and Whit Monday
The boulevard and panorama are open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Be aware: if weather conditions are bad, the panorama may be temporarily closed.
On December, 24 and December, 31, the museum halls, boulevard and panorama close at 3:00 p.m.
Summer time hours:
- During the summertime (1 April - 31 October), the boulevard and panorama are open until midnight (last access for visitors 11.30 p.m.)
The MAS is closed:
- on Mondays (except on Easter Monday and Whit Monday)
- January 1, May 1, November 1 and December 25.

By bicycle
There is a large bike rack near the flags right in front of the museum square.
With a Velo bicycle (share-a-bike system)
There are two Velo stations at the foot of the MAS. One on the Hanzestedenplaats and one on the Sint-Laureiskaai, just across the Nassau bridge. More information on www.velo-antwerpen.be.
By tram or bus
- Tram 7 (Mortsel - Eilandje), disembark at final stop MAS.
- Tram 1 (P+R Luchtbal - Zuidstation). Get off at Noorderplaats and walk 15 minutes to the MAS.
- Tram 24 (Silsburg - Havenhuis). Get off at stop Londen and walk past the Londenbrug to the MAS (10 minutes)
- Bus 17 (UZA - Centraal Station - Brouwersvliet) Get off at the final stop 'Felixarchief'.
- Underground Antwerpen Centraal: lines 3, 5, 9 or 15, direction Linkeroever. Get off at station 'Meir'. Above ground, take tram 7 at 'Meirbrug'.

By train
At Antwerp Central Station, take tram 9 or 15 in the direction of Linkeroever to the Meir stop. Leave the pre-metro station at the "Sint-Katelijnevest" exit and take tram 7 above ground level to the final stop MAS. You can find train timetables at https://www.belgiantrain.be/en
By waterbus over the Scheldt
The waterbus connects Hemiksem and Lillo and stops at the Steenplein (where you have to get off). If you come from the Left bank, you can also take the ferry. All practical information such as rates and departure times can be found on dewaterbus.be.
By car
Remember that the entire city centre of Antwerp and Linkeroever (the Left Bank) are a low emission zone. Polluting vehicles may no longer enter the low emission zone. Check before coming to Antwerp whether your vehicle complies with the conditions for entry with this test.
Compulsory registration: All vehicles with a foreign number plate (except Dutch number plates) complying with the conditions for entry must be registered once-only. Registration is free and can be done up to 24 hours after entering the zone. Register your car here.
