Performances
Vogue Bootcamp Belgium
Vogue Bootcamp Belgium has been active since 2017, focusing on Voguing and Wacking. Voguing is a pose-driven dance style, sharp on the beat and full of attitude. Wacking uses expressive arm movements and fast poses. Through workshops and balls, this Antwerp platform creates space for expression, community and growth within ballroom culture. Tonight they present performances curated by Luscious Revlon.
Scratch
The Popping group Scratch presents a Strutting performance. Strutting centres on angular arm and hand movements, almost mechanical in style. The dance is closely related to Popping: a rhythmic funk and street dance style that emerged in the 1970s in the Bay Area (US). The style mixes stepping, robot, funk and party moves.
Join the dance
Dabke Watan
Dabke is a Middle Eastern folk dance that blends circle dance with line dancing. The Brussels-based group Dabke Watan, founded in 2017, brings people together across gender, culture and religion. Their movement style also connects: during rehearsals and performances in Brussels, Flanders and neighbouring countries, they mix various Dabke styles into one energetic, contemporary form.
Mood Collectiv
Mood Collectiv is an Antwerp dancehall community. Dancehall, born in Jamaica’s party scene, celebrates both the joy and the frustrations of everyday life. Join this workshop and feel how connection meets revolution.
De Lá Pra Cá
De Lá Pra Cá takes you to the sertão in Northeast Brazil, where people created musical poetry despite drought and migration. Forró is their voice: a celebration of Northeastern Brazilian identity with Afro-Indigenous and European roots, and a form of cultural resistance against marginalisation.

Talk: Revoltes!
Dance is almost never neutral. A new dance style often emerges from a shared experience. What does dance reveal about the time and community in which it arises? How does dance inspire new social or artistic movements — and how do dance forms emerge from social change? De Lá Pra Cá, 4.1.4. Entertainment, Vogue Bootcamp Belgium and Mood Collectiv explore the interplay between physical and social movement, between dancing bodies and transforming societies.
CineMAS ♡ Lens Dans – Film Screenings
During #MASmoves, the MAS joins forces with Lens Dans, a festival that celebrates, questions and showcases the artistic discipline of short dance films.
What began as a need for a space to show and share this contemporary art form has grown into a festival that recognises dance on film as a fully-fledged discipline — a meeting point of body, camera and emotion. Since its first edition in 2021, Lens Dans has grown into an international platform moving between Brussels and Barcelona, a place where artists from different disciplines inspire each other, collaborate and grow.
The MAS invites Mar Badal, co-founder of Lens Dans, to dive into the festival’s archives in search of films exploring themes such as connection, storytelling and resistance.
