Along the escalators in the MAS Boulevard, the photo exhibition by Adel Setta Mellunman showcases the diverse character of the contemporary Antwerp martial arts scene, offering a glimpse into the daily ins and outs of the fighting clubs.

Photos from past and present

The photographs also turn their focus to the past. Martial arts have a very long history, but archives are often missing and memories are fragmented. The MAS brings part of these stories back to life, both through images and a podcast series.

A new expo that immerses you in the rich world of martial arts. Antwerp has a very rich history of martial arts that still evolves with the city today. Together with Sporting A, ErfgoedLab delved into the Antwerp world of martial arts and collected many personal stories and objects.
