Inca's

Sacred Heritage of the Andes

The exhibition 'L’héritage sacré des Andes' at the Hôtel Départemental des Expositions du Var (HDE) presents a survey of three thousand years of Andean history, from the Chavín culture to the Inca civilization. Over 250 ritual objects have been selected from international collections, including four cultural objects from the Paul and Dora Janssen collection, on loan to MAS from the Flemish Community.

The HDE is organizing the exhibition in close collaboration with the Museo Larco in Lima, Peru. The exhibition curator is Dr. Carole Fraresso, a specialist in Andean metal objects. She also contributed her expertise to the MAS in 2024.

  • The exhibition runs from June 20 to September 27, 2026, at the Hôtel Départemental des Expositions du Var (HDE) in Draguignan, France.
