Anybody home?

Does a sewer crocodile find her home cozy? And just how welcome is a spider in yours? Ponder these questions with an absent-minded professor or even with a… talking set of dishes. The quirky characters in the family exhibition “Anybody Home?” take you on an imaginative journey and invite you to reflect: how can “home” mean something different to everyone?

The exhibition draws you into the rich world of Martial arts. Step into the ring and experience what kickboxing, karate, capoeira, kung fu, and Nguni stick fighting have in common. CLOSED - ‘Sacred Places, Sacred Books’ brought Rome, Mecca and Jerusalem to Antwerp. You discovered the differences and similarities between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. More than 200 works of art, historical and religious treasures were on display.

The exhibition explores what it means to live together and meet one another. What it means to be allowed to truly be yourself—in your own body, in your relationships with others, in public, and behind closed doors. An exhibition that shows how these themes, even today, are not publicly accepted or accessible for everyone.

Stargazing on the roof

On Thursday evenings during school holidays, you can come and gaze at the stars for free on the roof of the MAS. Observatory Urania will provide a telescope.
